Terminal lab
Three ways to hold a conductor. Each mechanism below moves the way the real one does: the screw advances by its pitch, the crimp barrel deforms, the spring returns to its own shape.
The housing wall
Twenty hood and housing sizes, racked by size. Select one to pull it forward.
Standard and HPR hoods & housings, as listed by Indo Electricals. Proportions on the wall are schematic; each size links to its official drawings in mm.
The smallest component can control the entire system.
A control circuit from supply to machine, drawn as it is wired. One coupling at X3 is not mated. Follow the signal, then make the connection.
X3 open. Signal stops at the panel. Machine stopped.

Behind every machine are connections.
Indo Electricals regularly deals with sophisticated machinery manufacturers. Each schematic view follows the path from machine to control cabinet to connector.

The workshop
Indo Electricals has developed sophisticated design, manufacturing and assembly capabilities, to meet the exacting needs of today’s industries.
Quality demands are a must in all aspects of component manufacturing. It requires a range of processing expertise, technologies and application to provide consolidated results to users. There is a continuous modernisation agenda at Indo Electricals, for which there is also a well-equipped workshop.
Perfection is a process.
At Indo Electricals perfection is possible. Methodology, management and consistency of process provide the environment for achieving it, going far beyond 100% measurement of components. Try a measurement: select two points on the drawing.
This is a demonstration drawing in millimetres, not an ICO product dimension. Verified product dimensions replace it once official drawings are loaded.
Engineering through continuous improvement.
Manufacturing of industrial connectors is the core competence, guided by years of intense research and development. Novel and innovative solutions and approaches give an edge over competition.

Questions engineers ask
What is an industrial electrical connector?
A device that makes a separable electrical connection between cables and equipment in an industrial environment. It combines insulated contacts, terminals that hold the conductors, and a housing that protects and locks the connection so a machine can be wired, disconnected and reconnected reliably.
What are multipole electrical connectors?
Connectors that carry several circuits through one coupling. Many contacts sit in one insulating insert, so all the power and control lines between a panel and a machine connect or disconnect in a single action. Indo Electricals' “ICO” connectors range from 3+PE contacts (ICO C) up to 216 (108X2)+PE contacts (ICO DD).
What are screw terminals?
A termination in which a screw clamps the conductor. Indo Electricals' screw terminal families are ICO A, ICO C, ICO CA, ICO B and ICO E.
What are crimp terminals?
A termination in which the contact is crimped onto the conductor with a crimp tool. Indo Electricals' crimp terminal families are ICO AB, ICO ABS, ICO ABE, ICO D, ICO DD and ICO AQ, and most ICO Modular modules use crimp terminals.
What are screwless spring terminals?
A termination that holds the conductor with a spring instead of a screw. Indo Electricals' ICO AA family uses a screwless spring terminal, rated 16A 500V.
What are electrical hoods and housings?
The enclosures that hold a connector insert: hoods (side entry, top entry, cable to cable) and housings (bulkhead or surface mounting). Indo Electricals lists sizes 3A, 10A, 16A, 24A, 32A, 48A, 72A, 6B, 8B, 10B, 16B, 24B, 32B, 32(16X2)B and 48B, with HPR versions of 3A, 6B, 10B, 16B and 24B.
What industries use industrial connectors?
Indo Electricals regularly deals with sophisticated machinery manufacturers: CNC machines, micro process plastic injection moulding machines, textile, automobile assembly lines, robotic equipment, SPM, power stations, electro medical apparatus and more.
What is an import-substitute electrical connector?
A domestically manufactured product that serves the need otherwise met by an imported one. Indo Electricals manufactures and supplies import substitute products used for interconnection techniques for electrical and electronics markets, including for switchgear industries.
What custom connector solutions does Indo Electricals manufacture?
Customer specified jobs are one of Indo Electricals' three product categories, alongside multipole electrical connectors and various terminals, meeting technical specifications as per company requirements.
Who manufactures industrial connectors in India?
Indo Electricals, of C-1/675 GIDC Makarpura, Vadodara, Gujarat, established in 1975, has industrial connectors as its core competence.
